Olá pessoal, como vão?

Eu estava dando uma olhada nas postagens antigas e fiquei realmente surpresa de não ter postado quase nada sobre coloração de cabelo, então, resolvi hoje montar um pequeno guia para expor minhas experiências com esse tipo de coisa, e espero que possa vir a ajudar alguém.

Então vamos nessa!

1. Descolorir ou não? É comum as pessoas perguntarem se é preciso descolorir o cabelo para a tinta pegar, e a resposta é: sim.
É muito difícil a cor ficar boa em cima do seu tom natural, principalmente se for escuro (o meu não pega absolutamente nada sem descoloração). O problema de descolorir é que isso pode, muitas vezes, deixar o seu cabelo ressecado e quebradiço, embora normalmente não seja nada que algumas hidratações não resolvam. O meu cabelo, por exemplo, aguentou muito bem as milhares de descolorações que fiz, então acho que, dependendo do tipo do seu fio, ele pode até ficar completamente normal nas primeiras vezes - mas é claro que não pode exagerar! Recomendo que você leia mais sobre descoloração ou consulte seu cabeleireiro se tiver alguma dúvida sobre seu tipo de cabelo, etc.

Para manter o cabelo em um única cor fantasia de tom escuro/médio, você provavelmente só vai precisar descolorir uma vez (a primeira para a cor pegar) e depois ficar refazendo as raízes, mais ou menos, uma vez a cada mês (isso varia de pessoa para pessoa, dependendo da velocidade com que seu cabelo cresce), portanto dificilmente seu cabelo vai ficar muito quebrado se você tomar o mínimo de cuidado com ele. Como eu ficava mudando de cor direto meus fios acabaram ficando bem arrebentados depois de um tempo, por isso tive que parar de mudar com tanta frequência (mas essas coisas só acontecem, como eu disse, se você ficar descolorindo ele inteiro o tempo todo, o que ninguém recomenda, haha).

No geral as regras são as mesmas para tinturas comuns e é preciso tomar cuidado para não misturar química demais (progressiva, descolorante, relaxamento, etc) para não danificar o cabelo.

2. Quanto tempo dura? Bem, depois de descolorir vem a parte mais interessante: escolher as cores. É bom fazer uma pesquisa para o tipo de tinta que você quer usar, mas no geral você vai encontrar uma grande variedade de tonalizantes e tintas semi-permanentes no mercado. Eu usava bastante os tonalizantes (a maioria da Keraton) porque são mais suaves e desbotam rápido, o que permitia que eu trocasse de cor sem ter que descolorir várias vezes (algumas cores pegam bem por cima de outras que estão desbotadas, por exemplo: rosa/vermelho, roxo/azul, etc), mas eles não têm muita opção de cores e mancham a casa inteira.

Para dar uma ideia geral das opções:

Tonalizantes: são menos agressivos aos fios, duram em média duas semanas com uma cor razoável (as tintas azuis tendem a durar menos), são os mais baratos do mercado e podem ser encontrados em perfumarias comuns.

Tintas semi-permanentes: tem uma enorme variedade de cores e têm uma duração mais elevada, são mais caras, entretanto, (vão de R$30 a R$60, o vidro, mais ou menos), acredito que sejam as que menos mancham também. Marcas mais conhecidas: Punky Colour, Directions, Manic Panic e Special Effects.

Tintas permanentes: são as tintas comuns em tons diferentes, como vermelho, prateado, violeta ou preto azulado. São as que duram mais, como o nome já diz, mas a variedade de cores para escolher é muito pequena. Os preços são médios.

Anilina: Muitíssimo barato, mas não possui nenhum ingrediente para evitar prejudicar o cabelo. As vantagens são mesmo o preço (com três reais da para comprar um vidrinho) e a possibilidade de misturar as cores, mas a bagunça também é enorme.

Para ver os resultados das cores é legal dar uma olhada em imagens na internet. A Pink Cat tem uma seção para o pessoal postar as fotos com os resultados da coloração, é bem interessante.

3. E para pintar com duas cores? Pintar com duas cores ou mais não é difícil, você pode ir no cabeleireiro com uma foto ou simplesmente pintar em casa dividindo as mechas. O único problema é que com o passar do tempo a tinta das áreas mais escuras pode acabar manchando as partes mais claras, e aí você vai ter que refazer a coloração mais cedo do que se tivesse pintado inteiro. A manutenção geral também é um pouco complicadinha, porque você vai ter que refazer área por área.

4. Como faz para lavar o cabelo? Você pode lavar normalmente, mas é bom usar um shampoo sem sal para tinta durar mais. A cor vai sair sempre que você lavar, então não se assuste com a água colorida que escorrer. Aliás, a tinta sai dos azulejos, mas é bom tomar cuidado com as roupas, interruptores e móveis claros quando você acabar de pintar (se manchar, você pode tentar tirar com um pouquinho de acetona, mas é bom evitar).

5. Legal, onde eu compro? Como eu disse antes, dá para comprar tonalizantes e tintas permanentes comuns nas perfumarias locais, mas as tintas semi-permanentes estão em sua maioria na internet ou em lojas alternativas. Já a anilina (para madeira) você pode comprar em lojas de artesanato, por exemplo.

Dicas:

- Faça testes antes para ver se você não tem alergia.
- Descolorir no calor é mais fácil
- Siga as instruções da tinta, elas costumam pedir para pintar com o cabelo seco, o que é melhor para a cor durar mais
- Se não estiver confiante, vá no cabeleireiro pelo menos na primeira coloração :)
- Tem uma porção de blogs falando sobre cabelos coloridos, é bom fazer uma pesquisa antes para decidir o que você quer

I was taking a look at my older posts and I got realy surprised by the fact that I haven't posted anything about hair dyeing, so, I've decided to create this little guide to share my experiences with this kind of thing, and I hope it may help someone someway. :)

So here we go!

1. To bleach or not to bleach? That's a very common question: people usually ask if they need to bleach their hair in order to the color work (appear good), and the answer is: yes.
Fantasy colors usually don't look good over natural tone hair, especially if with dark bases (it won't even appear over black/brown hair), so you will probably need to bleach before changing color.
The problem about bleaching is that it can injure your hair a lot, leaving it very fragile and dry. You can avoid this with some special cares, but it's not a complicated thing (it's all about hydratation). And my hair, for example, haven't suffered much with the first bleach, so I think it depends a lot on the type of your hair, it may behave differently on the situation. Of course, even if you got the strongest hair of all, you can't overdo the bleaching! I advise you to read more about it if you are planning to bleach you hair more then once.Take a look here, for exemple.

To keep your hair into only one fantasy color (of medium/dark tone), you will probably need to bleach your whole hair only one time (so the color will appear), and later you will only need to keep doing the roots (usually in once in a month, but this depends on how fast your hair grows), so your hair won't get too dry if you take minimum care about it. As I kept changing colors very fast, my hair got very fragile over the months (I was bleaching it whole very often), so I did stop playing too much with the colors. This is only to say that, if you don't bleach your hair too many times, it will be healthy and pretty - the same rule for all kinds of hair and hair dyeing, even the "normal" ones.

Oh, and this is important: don't mix things up - it's not good to bleach and dye your hair if it already have some other kind of chemistry in it (like some hair straightening product).

2. How long does it last? Well, after bleaching comes the most fun part: choosing colors. It's nice to do some research over the kind of hair dye that you want to use, but in general, you'll find a great variety of hair toners and demi-permanent dyes. I've used to use the Keraton toners, beacuse they are very soft and their colors fade fast, so I could change my hair color without having to bleach it too much (Tip: some fantasy colors can go over others, and still look good, like red over pink, purple over blue, blue over green, etc.), but they didn't offered a lot of colors to choose (more like nine or ten options) and are very dirty (I mean, whenever I dyed my hair, all became blue, or green, or red, and it was hard to wash it out later)

I'll give you a list of what you can find out there:

Toners they are less agressive, last about two weeks with a okay color (blue dyes tend to last less). They are cheaper than the normal hair dyes and can be found in common hair care stores.

Demi-permanent hair dyes: they got a huge variety of colors and last longer than the toners, but they are way more expensive. You usually don't find them in "real life", so it's easier to order from the internet. Brands you may find: Punky Colour, Directions, Manic Panic, Special Effects.

Permanent hair dyes: they are the common hair dyes, like red, silver, violet or black. They last for months, but the variety of fantasy colors are very limited. Prices are medium.

Aniline: Very, very cheap, but doesn't have any ingredient to avoid injuring the hair. It also provides the possibility to mix colors, which creates infinite possibilities, haha. (I used aniline before, and it didn't cause any harm to my hair too).

To see the results it's very nice to take a look at some pictures on the internet. The Pink Cat (in portuguese) has a database of different dyed hair types. Check it out.

 

3. How do I dye with two or more colors? Dyeing your hair with two or more colors is not that difficult, You can go with a picture to your hairdresser or dye in home, separating the parts of your hair by yourself. The problem is that, when you wash your hair the color of the darker areas can stain the clearer parts of your hair, and you will probably have to redo the dyeing first than you thought. The geral maintenance  is a little complicated too, beacuse you'll need to dye area by area, and that requires some patience. 

 

4. How do I wash my hair? You can wash it normally, but it's good to use a proper shampoo, so the color will last longer. The color will be washed out (not completely, of course) every time you wash your hair anyway, so don't panic about that. Be careful with your clothes, furniture or whatever it is that you don't want to dye together with you hair: most of hair dyes are very hard to take of from these things.

 

5. Okay, where can I buy it? As I said before, you can buy toners and permanent dyes in your town (in a market or beauty care center), but the demi-permanent hair dyes are more easily found on the internet or in alternative shops. You can find the aniline in art stores, or at the web too.

 

Tips

- Test the hair dye before using it, you may be allergic to some of its components
- Bleaching in warm wheather conditions is easier
- Follow the instructions of the dye you choose. They usually say that you dye your hair dry, that's good for the durability of the color.
- If you're not sure about bleaching and dyeing, go to your hairdresser first. You can see how it works, and then try it by yourself later
- There are lots of blogs talking about hair dyeing, read them so you learn more and be more confident about what you want!

And finito! This was a realy short guide, and I wrote it based on my personal experiences, so it's sure not definitive!
